1.The pointer does not deflect.(=Unable to measure.) | Check the continuity of test leads.If there is a break, replace the faulty test lead.How to check: Set to the resistance range and short the test leads. |
2.When selecting Earth Voltage range, the LED lights up although the test leads is not connected. | This is normal condition.The LED is designed to light up at the Earth Voltage range in order to avoid omitting to turn the switch to the OFF position. |
3.At the earth resistance ranges. Even though the prove is not connected, when the test button is pressed the LED lights up and the pointer deflects to the end. | This is not a fault. This operation is due to the inner short-circuit. |
4.When measuring the earth resistance, the OK lamp does not light up. | Check if the test leads are firmly connected with the unit.If no, connect the test leads firmly to the tester.Check if the test leads are firmly connected to the earth spikes.If no, connect the test leads firmly to the earth spikes.Check if the part where the earth spikes are stuck is enough moist.If no, give enough water where the earth spikes are stuck.Check the continuity of test leads.If there is a break, replace the faulty test lead.How to check: Set to the resistance range and short the test leads. |
